The Marian Boutique Hotel has a history which dates back 130 years. With the busy streets of Kuching as its backdrop, The Marion Boutique Hotel, Kuching's very first Heritage Boutique Lodging House, is a beautiful getaway that will definitely satisfy you. Located close to Waterfront, Kuching, The Marion Boutique Hotels offers freedom from the hustle and bustle of city right in the heart of Kuching.
Formerly a pre-war family mansion which later became the all-girls St Mary boarding house, The Marian has been lovingly restored and now offers charming accommodation in Kuching. The old heritage has been kept within the lodge and the 40 rooms range from family suites to cosy bunk rooms for friends travelling together. The rooms are named after, and in honour of, former matrons and a headmistress Betty Johnson, Thelma Cook, Mary and Caroline Sharp, McDougalls, and St. Nicholas. I loved the black and white theme throughout the hotel and the original timber floors made from thick belian, ironwood of Borneo.
The Granary Kitchen & Bar is the Kuching’s first warehouse style dining spot, that serves a choice of sensational fusion of local, western food, and homemade delicious cakes and desserts. Live music can be enjoyed here as well as great happy hour deals. All hotel guests of the Marian Boutique Lodging House will received 10% for all any food.
The Marian Gift shop called as The Ranee Gift Gallery located next to the hotel reception, which is bursting with exclusive local handmade souvenirs of Sarawak including exquisite arts and crafts, unusual clothing, artisanal jewellery, and many retro collectibles. The collection strictly curated to reflect and represent Sarawak at her most beautiful.
Lastly, What can i say about this hotel, Nice spacious room and bathroom, pretty outside area, great location, cozy decoration and the fact that the lodge is a restored old building that maintains so much of the original beauty.
